NexSource (Pvt.) Ltd. have pioneered Telemedicine in Pakistan. "TeleDoctor", a joint project of NexSource and eHealth, was developed in Partnership with TELENOR providing its subscribers easy access to Medical Professionals through phone. Basic medical advice is offered by qualified Doctors and prescription is then sent through SMS. Over half a million such calls have so far been successfully processed by the TeleDoctor product.NexSource & eHealth, Karachi based sister companies, work as premier health sector Technology Integrators, connecting medical service providers with remotely located rural population through Information and Communication Technology (ICT), eliminating the need to move the patient in majority of cases. NexSource developed this Turn-Key solution from grounds up, including constructing providing Hardware, Peripherals, Software, SOPs, Training, Operation and Maintenance of the network.NexSource & eHealth will enhance the present TeleDoctor Hub in to a multi-specialty support unit. This hub, called National Health Unit (NHU) will then be replicated in Rawalpindi and Lahore. 60 Specialists and 300 General Physicians will be supported with DSS (Decision Support System) software to ensure their advice to the user is the best possible one and is error free.
