Real Estate - Amsterdam, North Holland, Netherlands
An inclusive cityWe believe that the current system of government policy and market dynamics is leaving middle income households and newcomers out in the cold. Not inclusive. Rules, regulations and complexity mean that developers are not incentivised to build affordable homes. Additional investment for sustainable infrastructure and innovations is therefore even less likely. Not Green. For decades, buying a home and profiting from the rise in asset value has been a middle-class tradition. Nowadays, owning (let alone finding…) a home is increasingly a privilege of the very wealthy. Unfair. We believe that transitioning from individual ownership to collective use is the basis for many interesting new solutions. Furthermore, fin-tech could allow the many to join the few in reaping the benefits of home development, embracing ‘real world' dynamics and simultaneously allowing for a fair and inclusive type of enterprise. Nexterdam will ‘crack the code' of current residential real estate development and pave the way for new blocks of homes: inclusive and innovative.
