NextUp is a web-based mobile application that facilitates and optimizes young adult's nightlife/event-going experience. The app will help users discover events nearby that they want to attend and enable them to directly influence the event itself once they are in attendance. We envision the app being used on a range of scales, from private house parties, to nightclub events, to college bars, to global music festivals. Many young people spend multiple nights a week attending parties, bars, clubs, and/or concerts, but their enjoyment of the event is contingent on a multitude of factors: music that is played, the vibe of the environment, current & projected capacity of the venue, cost of admission, friends that are in attendance, and more. NextUp will empower users to find ideal events for them and their friends by transforming these factors into readily available information, and by integrating a degree of influence on the event (e.g. what music is being played) into the user's phone. While other social media apps promote online interaction through various features, NextUp is unique in that its features catalyze and encourage real-life interactions.Coming Soon!
