NEXUS Coastal Resource Management brings together forward thinking and innovative professionals with broad resource management skills and knowledge. NEXUS provides an opportunity for these diverse skills to be collaboratively applied to complex resource management issues.Originally established in 1993 by a small group of professionals at Dalhousie University, today the NEXUS Team is managed by three principals: Alanna Gauthier, Maria Bugsy Delesalle and Christopher Milley. The growing NEXUS team includes thirteen Associates, located across Canada, who contribute to projects whenever their experience is needed.NEXUS Coastal maintains a close relationship with the Marine Affairs Program at Dalhousie University where Chris Milley is an Adjunct Professor, and team members are involved on research projects, delivering academic courses, providing internships support and opportunities for students as well as supporting an annual student-led conference. NEXUS has a proven track record of providing exceptional facilitation and advisory services to a diverse clientele; which include Indigenous organizations, governments, private sector resource developments, community organizations and NGOs. Over the years, NEXUS has been recognized for its services to Indigenous communities. The team's experience working with Indigenous communities from Nova Scotia to Nunavut exceeds that of many larger organizations.
