Members of the NFL Alumni have worked to fulfill the organizations stated mission of Caring for Kids. A 501 (C) (3), NFL Alumni, Inc. carries out its mission by actively raising funds for youth-oriented charitable causes and engaging hands-on service to foster the development of our youth.Chartered in 1967, the organization was formed to address such player-welfare issues as pension benefits. As the NFL became more active in this area, the NFL Alumni restructured in 1977 into a non-profit charitable and education association.Whether they are at work, playing in a charity golf classic or visiting hospitals, NFL Alumni demonstrates a sense of community and Caring for Kids.
