I have been designing "things" since before my teens when I took my wagon around on trash day and would collect the old console radios and bring them home and turn them into amplifiers for the neighborhood garage bands. I have designed and built automated welding systems. Anything from a machine for welding a single shaft to a plate, to snowmobile skis, to a roto-tiller frame that was completely welded up in two stations. I designed, got bids, wrote the program, and oversaw the installation of the replacement of a conveyor system that was costing over $10,000.00 a year to maintain, with one that cost $633.00 the first year to maintain,I have rebuilt condiment feeders from dc belt drive to 3 phase direct drive with variable frequency drives; thus eliminating about 4 hours a week maintenance time. Proposed, redesigned, programmed, and oversaw the rebuild of a case packer that puts two five pound loaves in a carton; taking it from 29 loaves per minute to 36 loaves per minute with less down time.I have proposed and installed many optical "cameras" for package inspection, eliminating the need for a person for that specific task. Plus numerous sensors to check if the package is empty. I currently work with Allen-Bradley RSLogix 5, RSLogix 500, RSLogix 5000 and Panel Builder; Various Drives VFD and Servos. Also, I currently use AutoCAD 2004 and 2008, Microsoft Word Excel, and PowerPoint and have had limited use of AutoCAD Electrical This is just a small sample of what I have done and the possibilities are endless. If you need help on a project. be it mechanical, electrical or website related, give me a call. If I can't help I am sure I know someone who can.Tom
