Niles West High School, founded in 1959, is a four-year (9-12), premiere high school in Skokie, Illinois, a northern suburb of Chicago located about five miles from Northwestern University. A rich and demanding curriculum combined with our STEM research centers and extracurricular programs highlight our belief in the development of all aspects of a young person's life. In everything we do, we are committed to excellence and to the growth and development of our students to ensure a love of learning and a lifelong commitment to helping others. The attendance area of the school has a variety of office developments, technology parks, light industrial and shopping districts. This creates an ethnic, economic, racial, and cultural diversity and vitality that is reflected in the student body. Representing more than 60 different cultures, our students are prepared to find their place in the world.
