NIPO- The Indian IPR Foundation is the first and the oldest IP techno-legal NGO in India established in 2001. NIPO is a Permanent Observer with the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO), United Nations. NIPO is an association of creators, users and owners of Intellectual Property. Members of NIPO include scientists, authors, artists, filmmakers, musicians, corporates, civil servants, academicians, legal experts and intellectuals among others.The objective of NIPO is to promote and protect intellectual property rights in India for which we regularly conduct awareness campaigns and capacity building programs with various national and international organisations. NIPO carries out Research and Development activities for protection and promotion of IPRs. We encourage innovation of IPRs by interacting and keeping pace with developments over the world and engage in activities in conjunction with other bodies or associations within the limits of the Association's objects. We arrange reciprocal concessions and cooperation with other such bodies and organisations. NIPO helps governments establish new international rules in the areas of IP protection and assists in implementing the rules and enforcement of laws pertaining to IPR.
