Delhi-NCR has approximately more than 4000 MSMEs (Micro Small and Medium Enterprises) in Delhi-NCR in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector. This includes more than 300 start-ups i.e. essentially micro and/or small enterprises less than 3 years old. These estimates of ICT MSMEs do not include the large organizations and those active in ITES domain. Last year, a group of entrepreneurs participated in a series of systematic discussions on their firm level and eco-system level challenges. They brain stormed on existing and possible solutions, solution providers and gap areas in innovation and enterprise promotion/support structures. Discussions on possible ways to leverage on strengths of fellow MSME entrepreneurs, Large companies within or outside ICT domain, local educational and research institutes , consultants, investors and government-public bodies the need to have a formal network to emerged to undertake various initiatives systematically. It is this group of (around 50) startup/small entrepreneurs conceptualized and formed Network of ICT Entrepreneurs and Enterprises (NITEE). NITEE has been formally registered under society act as a membership based organization.
