Nackman, M.D. with the vision of creating a medical practice focused on the comprehensive management of patients with venous disorders, as well as addressing cosmetic concerns. Dr. Nackman has a long-standing interest in caring for patients with complex venous disorders, and has over 20 yrs. experience in all facets of vein care and aesthetic treatments. Summa Cum Laude from Union College and his medical degree from Albany Medical College in 1988. His general surgery training was performed at Columbia University, St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York in 1994. He completed a Fellowship in Vascular Surgery at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in 1996. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery in both General and Vascular Surgery.In 1996, Dr. Nackman joined Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He has served as full-time faculty from 1996 until 2009 in the Division of Vascular Surgery as an active clinician, educator and NIH funded research scientist of national regard.Dr. Nackman is an Associate Professor of Surgery at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and has an active leadership role in training the next generation of physicians. Dr. Nackman is an attending surgeon at the prestigious Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. Dr. Nackman is listed in the Consumer's Research Council of America's "Guide to America's Top Surgeons." He is a member and has served as an officer of national and local societies including the Society for Vascular Surgery, Association for Academic Surgery, Society of University Surgeons, and the Vascular Society of New Jersey. He has made numerous presentations at national and international meetings, authored text book chapters, peer reviewed papers and reviews papers for medical journals. He co-authored a landmark scientific paper focused on the etiology of the degeneration varicose veins. Dr. Nackman was chair of Clinical Programs at the NJ Center for Biomaterials and has served as a consultant to industry.
