No Binary is an independent record label, mass media and marketing firm founded in 2020 by Kaushik J. Barua and Vikram Singh Kushwaha. Having started out with programming events through their organisation Qrated in 2017, Kaushik and Vikram worked to create a community of independent musicians and supporters from the ground up. Harnessing the power of their community, they have created alternate methods and DIY approaches to organise events and find sustainable streams of income for supporting independent artists in pursuing their art. In the last few years Kaushik and Vikram have also brought several remarkable national and international artists to parts of northeast India. Here, they've had the opportunity to touch upon communities and musicians from several countries including USA, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Reunion Island and more. Apart from programming global superstars like P.O.D. and Flipsyde, Kaushik and Vikram have also organised events with prominent Indian musicians such as Lucky Ali, Benny Dayal, When Chai Met Toast and Ritviz. Their passion for music drove them to start their own record label to put out cutting edge music that will break barriers and stereotypes of genre, categories and ideas to define the sounds of the future. In this endeavor, they are supported by the musical genius of Vishal J Singh, co-composer and producer of legendary soundtracks like Gangs of Wasseypur. No Binary is a label that believes in non-conformity in genres, inclusivity in art and creating a positive impact through its actions.
