No Child Left Behind Educational Complex is situated in the Brong-Ahafo Region of Ghana between the villages of Kabile and Jamera. The Complex is currently running as a school with over 300 students and 14 teachers. Being an educator in the United States, we have conducted teacher in-service trainings in order to expose the teachers to Western methodologies. We are in the process of building a two story building to house students from nearby villages as well as any Western professionals who are willing to come to conduct trainings to the students and even villagers. The Complex sits on at least five acres of land which is being developed into space where students can grow and harvest their own food. Our pigs and goats also offer the opportunity for our students to develop their own business of raising and breeding the animals. The water from our well on the Complex property provides clean water to the community as well as irrigates the land. Our vision of our Complex is different in that we are a creating a safe environment for students, teachers and the local villagers to take advantage of the connection to Western practices and blend them with local, cultural ideologies. We are sending our teachers slowly to Ghanian Universities in exchange for their commitment to remain at our school for two post-graduate years, or more.
