Our mission is to enrich the lives of youth and young adults by instilling positive qualities through leadership, social skills and etiquette training, as they travel from childhood to adulthood, thereby improving their characters, self-esteem and chances for success in life.Founded by Maryam Basir, NOiR Non-Profit works to uplift disadvantaged communities through social, leadership, and etiquette training. Inspired by her mother's etiquette teachings, Maryam hopes to instill this confidence in youth and adults across the nation. The name NOiR means black in French. Black absorbs all the colors of the visible spectrum; so it is inclusive of every aspect of life. This is what we teach our students - how to be tolerant, respectful, and to sparkle and shine from the inside out!NOiR Non-Profit is a culmination of the NOiR Diamonds Etiquette School and the extended curriculum we offer. This includes workshops (private etiquette training for all ages), professional corporate events, and the NOiR Diamonds Etiquette School's alumni club (refresher courses, fun events, and community building). We offer training on: Greetings, handshakes, eye contact, social media, dealing with teasing and bullying, proper walking, public speaking, making an entrance, table manners and settings, interview and business etiquette, image and body, grooming, and being a person who matters! Right now, we operate primarily in Ann Arbor and Detroit, but should you need us privately, we can come to you!Feel free to contact us at: noir@noirdiamonds.org
