We are a hybrid arts consultancy in San Francisco with an expertise in Situational Design. Our mission is to provoke discovery through visceral experiences and pervasive play. Nonchalance represents a new breed of emerging creative producers who blur the boundaries of art and business, life and play, real and imaginary. As artists, we are born from established disciplined and undisciplined movements — cultural explorers that rise from a diverse collection of antecedents and influences including Social Practice, street art, Fluxus and Psychogeography. As cultural physicists, we isolate and illuminate the force, matter and energy of a community. As a hybrid art consultancy, we are building a wide body of pioneering work, both independently and for clients. These projects exist in the realm of collaboration and partnerships, both public and commercial, from the radically experimental to the quaint and traditional. With each job we establish means to engage and provoke audiences through tangible experience, creating opportunities for inspiration, discovery, and social cohesion.
