We are NOOKIE. A small passionate company based in Cornwall, South-West England. Our design studio and factory is within an hour of lakes, rivers up to Class V, estuaries/oceans and some of the best surf in Europe on Devon & Cornwall's beautiful beaches. The prefect location to test our products in their natural environment alongside our extensive team who test our gear around the world. We started in 1991 with an obsession for whitewater kayaking and a desire to make dry, safe, functional kit that also looked good on the water. That desire is still there, although as we approach our 30's we've broadened our horizons. We're still into whitewater kayaking but as we've grown up we're pretty keen on anything on and in the water from canoeing and sea kayaking to stand-up paddling.We specialise in the design and manufacture of waterproof drywear, buoyancy aids, thermal clothing, spraydecks and accessories. Our whole team has a wealth of expertise and decades of experience which creates an unequivocal knowledge of our products. That same team designs, makes and wears our products. This ultimately means, when you phone up with a question you get an informed answer and genuine help.Committed to British manufacturing, we have always made products in the UK and are proud to continue to make our premium drywear, spraydecks, rescue throwlines and other products right here. We are always working to increase the number of products made in either our factory in Cornwall or around the UK.We like to choose British whenever possible, however the simple fact is that some of the technologies and expertise used in the manufacture of our highly technical specialist equipment are more advance overseas. We make sure we choose the best producer for each of our products, wherever they are in the world.All of our products are designed in Cornwall to make sure function, fit and quality are all at the forefront of our range.
