Computer Games - Malmö, Skane County, Sweden
In 2004 Nordic Game Resources AB created the Nordic Game conference and designed the Nordic Game Program. The program was launched in 2006, with the mission to assure access to quality material with a distinct Nordic element in computer games for children and young people. The Nordic Game Program was part of the official cultural co-operation of the five Nordic countries; Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden. The six-year program was run by NGR for seven years - as it was extended by four more years. The Nordic Game Institute was then created by Erik Robertson and the five Nordic games industry trade organisations, and the institute now runs the program. The Nordic Game conference has since 2004 grown into one of two or three top professional games events in Europe, and NGR is also rolling out further services for the Nordic and global game industries.
