Through the empowerment of the local community in Ritoma, a secluded corner of the Tibetan Plateau, Norlha creates products of real value from precious and ethical Yak khullu fiber.Driven by the wish to provide livelihood opportunity in this remote area, Norlha links high value Yak fiber with intricate craftsmanship and contemporary design to implement sustainable development. Today Norlha is circular company, with 120 local artisans in Ritoma, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. Norlha has given the Yak a modern context, and has adopted the cultural and Buddhist values into its business model, serving as a cultural bridge between the community and the world at large.
