I throw stoneware and porcelain bowls and one-off studio pieces. I am a self trained potter operating from my studo in north London. Bieing a British craftsman is challenging and exhilerating, such is the depth and quality of fine British craft, especially in the case of thrown ceramics. I throw simple pieces with controlled embellishment (glazes, incising, bevelling lips) and one area I am trying to develop is the resurrection of medieval traditional English ware with altered dmensions to achieve a more modern sculptural feel.Norman
