Norsk Petroleumsteknisk Senter AS offer certification and competence courses for Drilling and Well Service personnel working on the Norwegian continental shelf and abroad. Our clients are Operators, Drilling companies, Well Service companies, Subsea equipment manufacturers and independent consultants. As a well-recognized training provider, we believe customers choose us because we offer high quality courses delivered by competent instructors with long experience from national and international offshore operations and training. The courses we offer will provide internationally accepted Certificates and are seen relevant and in accordance to the requirements in our industry. We want our candidates to choose us to be the preferred provider due to the high standard of our courses, a lot of practical simulator training, and that they are welcomed with respect and good service. This provides a good overall experience to our candidates. To ensure practical hands on training in Well Control, we have introduced five simulators that is used during our Drilling Well Control Courses on Level 3 and 4. These simulators can also be used for candidates who would want retraining in Well Control on a simulator. We also offer an e-learning program and digital e-book (text book and workbook with exercises prior to the course start, to prepare our candidates for the upcoming certification exam. In 2012, Bureau Veritas certified the OilComp group for ISO 9001:2008, to ensure that the customer receives predictable training at high quality. NPS has delivered IWCF certification training since 1999 and was formally IWCF accredited last time in October 2011 (for the coming 4-year period).
