The North American Accounting Society (NAAS) is a non-profit organization whose basic purpose is the development and recognition of individual efforts in the field of accounting.Its objectives are: Promoting the association of accounting professionals. Providing programs aimed at improvement of teaching, research, and writing by allowing application and exchange of accounting related ideas. Providing a forum for the publication of the results of research and other scholarly work. Recognizing excellence in research and writing in the field of accounting. Providing discussion and information exchange concerning ongoing research activity.The NAAS annual conference is held concurrently with the annual conference of MBAA-International, generally in March or April each year in Chicago.NAAS attendees can earn CPE hours for the sessions in which they participate.The North American Accounting Studies (NAAS) is the academic journal of the North American Accounting Society; its goal is to support, promote, and advance accounting knowledge.The NAAS journal is open access, print and online with the aim to provide a forum for the publication of quality accounting research. The journal is listed in Cabell's Directory of Publishing Opportunities with an acceptance rate of about 25%. All of the following topic areas are within the scope of the journal; submissions are welcome for each.
