Metals/Mining - N/A, N/A, CA
North Atlantic Potash (NAP) is a growing company focused on developing potash production in Canada. We currently possess one of the largest potash reserves in the world – consisting of 18 exploration permits. Our business was established in early 2008 and was designated to acquire exploration permits in order to allocate the best locations for developing a potash mine.We have done extensive geological analysis on our permits and have identified areas for further development - one in an area southeast of Regina and one in the area of Foam Lake. While the former is suitable for solution mining, the latter is suitable for conventional mining. Our company has embarked on exploration work in both areas and is now conducting 2D seismic acquisitions through Boyd PetroSearch Inc. This work will be followed by drilling and 3D seismic exploration, which will eventually generate a resource definition. We expect this work to move quickly due to earlier intensive drilling that was completed in close proximity to the company's focus areas.NAP benefits from the professional skills and experience of our CEO, David Waugh and our chief geologist, Mr. Milt Holter, as well as our main shareholder, JSC Acron, which is the third largest NPK (nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium) fertilizer producer in the world. Not only is JSC Acron a future purchaser of NAP, but it also has a well-established global distribution network, including an extensive retail business throughout China.
