North Country Crafts and Gardens is a small home based business in Northern Michigan. Started in 1992 as a small woodworking shop in the corner of my garage, I have expanded into not only woodworking but beautiful, simple (and sometimes not so simple) hand crafted jewelry, much of it made from natural stones found right here in Northern Michigan and using mainly Petosky stone and Leland Blue. I make and sell all kinds of crocheted items, ready made and custom ordered. I specialize in doilies and fine thread crochet work. Another area I've branched out into is small stained glass projects. These are done over the winter when i have time to sit and actually work on a project. My husband does woodburning projects and sells everything from keychains and small jewelry for fun to beautiful clocks... as you can see we are a very multi faceted small business. During the summers, you can find us at the farmers markets two to three days a week. When we're not at the market, we're getting ready for a market, tending to a garden (my project), I'm baking for a market... We are never still. Winters find us a little more laid back, taking stock and restocking for the next season. We always welcome e mails, messages or phone calls.
