North Country PTAC serves as a Procurement Technical Assistance Center and provides free government contract counseling to assist firms in selling to the military, federal, state and local governments. The North Country PTAC's support to businesses includes registration in systems such as the System for Award Management (SAM), identification of contract opportunities, help in understanding requirements and in preparing and submitting bids. PTACs are the bridge between buyer and supplier, bringing to bear their knowledge of both government contracting and the capabilities of contractors to maximize fast, reliable service to our government with better quality and at lower costs. The Procurement Technical Assistance Center is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the Defense Logistics Agency
