North Sea Cables Norge AS was established in Norway in 1989 as a subsidiary of the Scottish North Sea Cables ltd.The first years were sales primarily based on surplus cable, but from 1994 NSC got all offshore cable manufactured by Delta Crompton Cables ltd. Sales picked up, and in 1995 the firm got a contract with Phillips Petroleum for delivery of all instrument cable to Ekofisk II project.After three years as a distributor of Delta cable, NSC signed in 1997 cooperation with Draka Norsk Kabel AS (Prysmian Group), and we are currently their biggest distributors of offshore cable. In the mid 90s we also started stocking of ships cable, where we have gradually built up a large market share.In may 2015 North Sea Cables Norge AS was acquired by NOW Inc. (DistributionNOW) NYSE:DNOW
