Established on January 1, 1995 the North Shore Fire Department serves the municipalities of Bayside, Brown Deer, Fox Point, Glendale, River Hills, Shorewood, and Whitefish Bay. The department is comprised of 108 full-time fire fighters and 7 support staff members.The Fire Chief's Command Staff includes: 1 Deputy Chief and 3 Battalion Chiefs. Other staff include 24 Fire Lieutenants, 24 Heavy Equipment Operators, and 56 Firefighters(combination of EMTs and Paramedics).Basic life support and advanced life support emergency medical services are provided by the fire department.The Primary Mission: The primary mission of the North Shore Fire Department is to provide a range of programs designed to educate and protect the lives and property of all North Shore residents from adverse affects of fires, sudden medical emergencies or exposure to dangerous conditions created by either man or nature.
