The North Webster Parish Industrial District is a governmental component of the State of Louisiana created by Legislative Act 422 Section 551.5 on July 10, 1978. The District's purpose is to promote employment opportunities and economic development through recruiting new businesses, supporting job retention and serving the needs of existing businesses and industries. NWPID provides local incentives, is the Local Economic Development agency serving as a liaison with state and federal agencies, and provides resources to existing and potential business operations. Through regional and state economic development partnerships, NWPID provides support for workforce development, business financing, site location and other applicable services. NWPID also maintains the North Webster Parish Industrial Park and its industrial infrastructure.
