Northern Specialist Anaesthetics is a group practice of specialist doctors located on the North Shore of Sydney. Our doctors practice at a number of hospitals including; Sydney Adventist Hospital, Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital, Macquarie University Hospital, Norwest Private Hospital, The Mater Hospital, North Shore Private Hospital, Royal North Shore Hospital, Westmead Private Hospital, Northern Beaches Hospital as well as some local day surgery centres. Our anaesthetists work with a large number of surgeons encompassing a broad range of specialties.All our doctors are highly trained medical specialists in the areas of anaesthesia, intensive care, pain and peri-operative medicine. They are all Fellows of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists, having undertaken a minimum of 7 years post-graduate training.Each doctor within our group works independently, determining their own practice structure and fees. Full time administrative staff are essential to communicate with patients and other medical specialists and their practices. Working as a group provides opportunities to exchange and enhance knowledge in anaesthesia and allows the routine workload of any one member to be covered by other members in a reciprocal and cooperative manner.
