We focus on teaching about Indigenous health and primary care. We are the only organization in the region that does this, and we are driven by the needs of the community. We want to train excellent doctors by creating diverse and supportive learning environments. Doctors who train with us say they have opportunities they wouldn't have in urban areas. We have training locations throughout the Northern Territory, which allows doctors to learn in different and challenging environments. We also teach doctors about the importance of respecting and understanding culture when working with Indigenous patients. We support our doctors with a team dedicated to helping them on their placements, as well as resources to help with language and cultural barriers.
