Founded in 2004, the Northern Virginia Human Trafficking Task Force is a collaboration of federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, government agencies and nongovernmental organizations dedicated to (1) investigating and prosecuting those engaged in sex trafficking, forced labor, and closely related crimes; (2) identifying, rescuing, and providing services to victims of human trafficking, and (3) conducting training, community outreach, and public awareness efforts. Our goals include... Facilitating a more coordinated anti-trafficking effort in Northern Virginia through protocol development, extensive community outreach, proactive investigations, law enforcement training, intelligence sharing, and more formalized partnerships between law enforcement organizations and non-governmental organizations (NGOs)Identifying victims of both sex and labor trafficking Providing comprehensive services to trafficking victims, and Increase prosecutions of traffickers and those responsible for facilitating this crime. We have community and institutional training services and welcome new members with expertise to share with the full membership as well as volunteers who wish to pitch in a few hours every month.The Task Force accepts no donations and does not affiliate with or promote any cause.
