NorthPoint Pediatric Behavior Therapy provides consultation and direct therapy services to parents, children, and professionals in Northeast Louisiana. NorthPoint provides ABA therapy for the treatment of Autism, ADHD, Oppositional Defiance, and Related Disorders. NorthPoint conducts assessments for the purpose of treatment plan development. Treatment plans are implemented through direct therapy as well as parent participation and/or training. NorthPoint specializes in the treatment of Autism. Autism treatment services include communication development, maladaptive behavior reduction plans, increased academic and cognitive skills, and improved adaptive behaviors. NorthPoint staff are trained in comprehensive multidisciplinary assessment and are able to develop comprehensive treatment plans for social skill, academic, cognitive, self-help, executive functioning, and motor skills. NorthPoint provides direct treatment and parent training for the treatment of ADHD symptoms. NorthPoint focuses on decreasing impulsive behaviors and increasing attention skills. NorthPoint assesses executive functioning deficits and forms treatment plans to fill in missing skills. NorthPoint works with families to treat maladaptive behaviors such as: head banging, screaming, biting, and general physical aggression. NorthPoint focuses on teaching appropriate communication and replacement behaviors. Parent training regarding how to handle self-injurious behaviors at home and in public are an integral focus of our therapy.
