I'm so excited that you've found my page and are curious about Financial Coaching. Here is why I created Northstar…For thousands of years, women have lived under an unspoken and universally accepted "truth" that money is a complicated area that they cannot or should not be involved with. Throughout societies around the world, power equals money. And women were pushed back into the dark to take care of babies and the home WITH NO POWER. This "truth" (which is a huge lie) has kept women from feeling capable and confident regarding their power with money. Fortunately, modern day society is seeing this shift as both women and men are working towards slowly breaking down this barrier. How do I know this barrier still exists? I have spent so many years hearing people, women especially, share from their hearts how unsettling money can FEEL (will I have enough, will it run out, or worse- I can do it). Women want to make not just smart choices with their money, but really feel good (confident) about their decisions. I've lived it too. Starting over in life can be good, but boy it can come with some financial challenges. I have been there; hoping I was making a good decision for me, for my family. And I guessed, and stumbled, and have been back on square one more than a few times!! Somehow believing that I am not good with money.
