As we embark on this journey of delivering the best to our partners, our customers, and our stakeholders, let us bring you on an adventurous ride of its inception and the story of the makers "the father and the son duo"Mr. Anil Raj Batra, the father, the creator, and the innovator is in the bicycle business since 1990, this was the year when his son was born, and he named his business at his son's name i.e. Shivam Cycle Store. With his hard work, dedication, and compassion he created a small bicycle kingdom, which nurtured his family and allowed his son to chase his visions, to travel, to explore, to get educated, and to ride and write his life journey the way he wants. NORTHWAY was dreamt by Shivam Batra when he was in Mumbai during the lockdown period, but given shape by his father who brings all his experience in assessing the vendors and organizing the best quality bike components and accessoriesShivam Batra is an MBA International Business Graduate from Politecnico di Milano in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow. Prior to this, he did Mechanical Engineering at Graphic Era University, Dehradun, IndiaPrior to founding Northway, he has worked at leadership positions in the development sector, food production, and construction industries, in Gabon, Malaysia, India, and Italy. He has six-years of overall work experience in Strategy, Sustainability, Circular Economy, Production Planning, Maintenance, Business Development, and Sales. His love for riding bring him to multiple countries wherein he rode in the streets of Amsterdam, Milan, and other European, African, and Asian countries. He has been advocating and is trying to influence the policymakers, regulators, and civic society to work upon creating a viable ecosystem for sustainable commuting.
