Northwest Navigation Co., operates the Motor Vessel David B, and provides specialty cruises in the Inside Passage and Southeast Alaska for small groups. The Motor Vessel David B is a beautifully restored 65-foot wooden workboat that has been converted to carry up to six passengers at a time. Besides maintaining the David B's classic looks, Captain Jeffrey and Christine Smith also meticulously care for the boat's antique engine, a last-of-its-kind 3-cylinder Washington-Estep. Accommodations include 4 staterooms, three of which have queen-sized beds and one that has two extra-long twin bunks. Each cabin has it's own private head (toilet) and sink. In addition there is a shared bathroom with a full-sized cast iron bathtub/shower. The David B is the perfect alternative to the mainstream cruise ships for anyone searching for a specialized cruise that is out of the ordinary and on an uncommon boat.
