Norton Priory Museum & Gardens - the most excavated monastic site in Europe! Discover 900 years of history through an award winning museum, a spectacular 14th century Saint Christopher statue and excavated medieval ruins set in acres of managed woodland. Open throughout the year. The stunning 18th century Walled Garden offers orchards, a fruit garden and a beautiful rose walk, open from the beginning of April to the end of October. We also have a wide ranging events programme, with activities for visitors of all ages! There are also lectures, tours and courses in traditional crafts so there is always something happening at Norton Priory.The Trust also manages Halton castle which is open on special days throughout the year.
