Nonprofit Organization Management - Charlotte, North Carolina, United States
The Not In My City Project is a faith-based, local initiative to mobilize college students by training them to raise awareness within their own spheres of influence and enabling them to help provide funds for direct services for survivors. We work to accomplish this goal by doing two things:We equip students to raise awareness within their own circles of influence by providing training and mentorship throughout the school year. Our Advocacy Team volunteers are responsible for organizing, implementing, and hosting two Awareness Events on UNC Charlotte's campus per semester. Advocacy Team Members also collectively plan, participate, and host one large-scale Advocacy Campaign per semester. Our volunteers work diligently to foster a deeper relationship with the University and all participants in the events hosted, so that community support with Not In My City Project will continue to grow and develop. We create and sell the coziest t-shirts and products to inspire and encourage the fight for freedom. It is our hope that our freedom merchandise initiates conversations about advocacy and justice for those impacted by human trafficking. The proceeds from each purchase are donated to direct services for victims and survivors provided by Present Age Ministries. Not In My City Project is directly connected to our parent nonprofit, Present Age Ministries, a 501c3 committed to combatting the sexual abuse, exploitation and trafficking of teen girls.
