The Not In Our City 5K was created out of the realization that with the Super Bowl coming to Minneapolis in 2018 we had a rare opportunity to rally a critical mass of people to take action against sexual exploitation in our community. Human Trafficking is the second fastest growing criminal enterprise and happens every day in every community across our state. This 5K was created to raise actionable awareness of the daily realities of human trafficking in our communities (we are using the spotlight of the Super Bowl to enter into the conversation but focused on long term engagement); connect individuals to organizations doing the work; raise new funding sources for local organizations and inspire community action. Our focus is on local organizations serving victims in MN. 100% of the proceeds from this event will go to organizations directly addressing this issue.
