Nottingham Night Owls is a student-led volunteering project that focuses on student safety and well-being. All of our volunteers receive first-aid, self-defense and active listening training to enable them to patrol Nottingham city center at night with the aim of reducing crime, providing support where necessary and getting every student home safely after a night out.We work closely with local businesses to improve community cohesion and with Nottinghamshire police to keep our volunteer patrol routes updated, allowing us to make Nottingham city a safer place for everyone.Our volunteers are hard-working, dedicated and trustworthy individuals who donate at least one night a month to ensure that our shifts are able to run every Wednesday and Thursday nights, from 12-4am. They work tirelessly to make every night end in a HOOT!
