The North Shore Secondary Schools Partnership or ‘NS5', is an innovative partnership between Turramurra, Ku-ring-gai, St Ives, Killara and Chatswood High Schools which aims to enhance and enrich the learning opportunities for students across the five schools whilst celebrating the unique characteristics and strengths of each individual school in the partnership. As part of this regional collaboration, the NS5 have initiated numerous exciting projects in areas such as curriculum sharing, professional networking and mentoring. The development of a mutually supportive culture and operation across these schools aims to: - Better serve the interests of more young people than can be delivered by each school operating separately - Enhance the learning and working environments for students and staff - Deliver consistent high quality services to families and communities associated with each school and apply resources more efficiently in support of this goal - Increase access to and broaden the distribution of professional expertise and experience across the five schools and maximise professional opportunities for staff - Develop a coordinated approach to enrolments that encourages a strengthening of each school's local enrolment component of overall enrolments
