Nonprofit Organization Management - Reyhanlı, Hatay, Turkey
The National Syrian Project for Prosthetic Limbs (NSPPL) was established in 2013 in Reyhanli, southern Turkey, with the efforts of a group of Syrian doctors in response to those affected by the war in Syria. NSPPL is the first project of its kind in Northern Syria and Turkey to rehabilitate amputates. The project started in Reyhanli, Southern Turkey, and later on a center was opened in Idlib, and in 2019 a center was opened in Al-Bab in the northern countryside of Aleppo. Since then the work has grown to support a broad population in the North West of Syria serving locals, internally displaced people as well as those returning back to Syria after having fled their homes to various places. The project aims to reach all beneficiaries in Northern Syria and rehabilitate them physically and psychologically to become active and healthy members of their communities. Additionally we aim to continuously develop the technical staff and graduate new batches of technicians to cover all the growing needs in this field.
