The bio-renewable plastics market is taking off, and the European Commission is setting targets for the adoption of bio-based products. Bio-based content is becoming much more valuable than a petro-derived product on economic, sustainability and regulatory grounds. Nuplas will produce high performance Poly Lactic Acid (PLA) which has the properties required to replace oil-based plastics and meet growing demand for bio-renewable plastic packaging. The founder is Peter Reineck who has extensive experience in the chemical and environmental service sectors: Peter has assembled a team of seasoned chemical and plastics industry professionals to drive the venture forwards. This is a plastics industry project with a large potential market for a new bio-renewable product based on proven processing technology and a secure supply chain.
