Think Tanks - , ,
Global Think-Tank Network is a high-level initiative of the National University of Sciences and Technology, Islamabad (NUST). It was founded upon an overarching objective of promoting peace and prosperity at national, regional and international levels. Its vision is to be realized through state-of -art inter-disciplinary research and by knowledge based cooperation. Through GTTN, NUST will join-hands with top think tanks and policy centers across Asia, Africa, Europe, North America and Latin America. GTTN is to become a globally viable organization playing a responsible role in promoting peace and development through its knowledge sharing initiatives. GTTN is currently in its nascent stages and the first of several nodes has successfully been activated. In the first node, titled "China-Pakistan Joint Think Tank", research guided by Expert Groups and distinguished lead researchers is taking place at NUST in partnership with two leading Chinese universities, Tsinghua University, Beijing, and Southwest University of Political Science & Law (SWUPL), Chongqing. The current China-Pakistan node of GTTN seeks to syncretize thought-leadership of both China and Pakistan for mutual geopolitical and economic gains.
