Mental Health Care - New York, New York, United States
The NYU Art Therapy in Schools Program began in 1997. A pioneering project, it offers free art therapy to at-risk students in public schools throughout New York City. Art therapy graduate students at NYU gain faculty-supervised training and experience; public school students in distress have long-term treatment that would not otherwise be accessible. Both individual and group art therapy sessions are offered, as well as supportive art workshops for school teachers, staff, and parents.
