Our mission is to make competitive soccer available to under-served Oakland youth, supporting them in becoming healthy, confident, and self-empowered individuals who can effectively navigate systems, overcome challenges, and actualize their education and life goals.Our organization as a whole operates with a philosophy prioritizing personal development over player development; we believe that a child's involvement in the game can provide them with valuable skills that can extend throughout the course of their lives and allow them to flourish. Each week, Oakland Genesis runs 2 soccer practices, 2 study halls, and one game for each of its teams, each of which with free round trip transportation.
