The current system is broken.It's a fact - the majority of employers prefer work experience over degrees. But how can students learn, let alone be competitive, when they're crammed a studio for a few hours a week? That's not how records get made.Class meets Monday through Friday, 6 hours/day for 4 weeks in our state-of-the-art studio. Students will learn modern & guerrilla production techniques to get great sound every time.Objectives:• develop production & recording skills• experience real-world production workflows• record various bands, artists & genres• understand working professionalism• optimize performance techniquesOverview:• understanding recording signal flow• microphones & proper mic placement• composition: feeling, space, & phrasing• arrangement, rhythm, harmony, melody• optimizing workflows• creative sampling• creating sonic depth through layering• dynamic & spectral signal processing• time-based effects: reverbs & delays• understanding room acoustics & tone• SFX & creative transitions• MIDI & synthesisLearning Outcomes:• Oakland Recording Academy Certificate of Completion• Pro Tools 101 & 110 User Certification• 120 hours of professional recording studio experience• Official publishing credits • 10GB Sound Library• Avastor 1TB SSD External Hard Drive • Universal Audio Arrow 2x4 Thunderbolt 3 Audio Interface
