I am an independent, executive level consultant and strategic business partner, dedicated to helping small and midsize businesses strategically transform and successfully compete in today's digital economy. My service offering is focused in three areas of expertise: digital transformation strategy and planning, execution oversight, and high-performance coaching, mentorship and education. My approach is to listen first, and then partner with fellow leaders to provide my strategic, analytical, creative and organizational skills to the issue. Together, we align on the goals or work to be done. I then take the lead to assemble, inspire, influence and guide cross-functional, global teams to execute to the plan. I have been successful by not only being able to deliver on time and on budget, but through the process, find ways to improve upon the plan so the reality is even better than the dream. Over the years I have come to realize that my Midwestern roots, living and working in England and my professional background as a strategic designer, educator and business manager have differentiated me from other leaders at this level. Very simply, I am a hard-working Wisconsinite, who loves to work and comes to work every day focused on the issues. My international experiences have helped me appreciate how diversity in teams improves problem solving, ideation, and keeping the "the job to be done" fun, so I leverage that. And lastly, I think in pictures—before words—so I can very quickly and literally see a 360 degree view of the future. This enables me to help leaders and teams articulate issues; frame solutions with material action plans; sell it; get people excited about it; and most importantly, secure the alignment needed—at all levels of the organization— to engage, achieve and attain results beyond expectation.
