The Observatory of Frostviken is Sweden's first mountain top observatory, situated 772 meters above sea level on top of Brännklumpen in Jämtland, Sweden. This gives the observer a unique view as the dome is located high above the tree line, with no vegetation blocking the view in any direction! The 5 meter in diameter dome was shipped in from Sirius Observatories in Australia and the telescope is a 40 cm reflecting telescope of Ritchey-Chrétientyp, a Meade 16 "LX200-ACF, from Meade Instruments in California.
