Sub-surface oceanographic data is prohibitively expensive to collect, leading to data scarcity in shelf seas, coastal areas and polar regions. These data are critical for a wide range of maritime industries and sciences, including weather forecasting and climate change monitoring. ODN works together with fishermen to fill the ocean data gaps.
