Ocean Passages, LLC was formed in 2015 to offer world-class sailing education in Cuba's marine environment, which is currently undergoing historic change. After a million-dollar overhaul of the wooden schooner Harvey Gamage — we now offer a full program of Cuba voyages for gap students.Our Maine office is in a shipyard on the Portland waterfront. We've assembled a passionate team with decades of experience in at-sea education, ship operations and repair. These marine skills are complemented by deep expertise in U.S. relations with Cuba. Integrating these disciplines allows us to use traditional Tall Ships as platforms for experiential education that also foster international understanding.This approach has served us well in past initiatives, working with the United Nations and U.S. State Department on multiple Caribbean and transatlantic public diplomacy missions.
