Ocean Plastic Co., Ltd. was founded by the founder of Yee Fong Chemical Industrial Co., Ltd-- Mr. Fan-Chu Chen and several entrepreneurs in April 1965. Starting with one factory in Chung-Ho city, Taipei, OPC manufacturing PVC rigid pipes and sheets. In 1967, adding printed sheets to our product lines. In 1970, we greatly improve our quality by licensing from Akimai Gomu Co., Ltd.— a Japanese company, and began manufacturing high quality sponge leather and polyurethane leather.OPC has grown rapidly from 1976 to 1986. In September 1976, the company expanded by merging with Yee Fong Plastics Industrial Co. In 1978, OPC licensed from Kaneka Co. and set up Tao-Yuan Factory to produce PVC resin. In 1986, another new factory was set up in Chung-Li, Tao-Yuan to comply with the increasing demand of PVC rigid pipes.For the convenience of developing international markets, the headquarter and major sales department were moved to Taipei city in 1990, and one additional sales branches was located in Tai-Nan (south Taiwan).In order to be more competitive and innovative, we established a research laboratory in 1978. The lab has been very efficient in continuing improving our existing products and inventing new products. An experimental factory was set up next to Tao-Yuan factory in 1999, and manufacturing newly invented products.For 45 years, Ocean Plastics Co., Ltd. has been very stable and innovative in the industry, and also one of the leading companies in Taiwan. Our three factories created one more benchmark by achieving ISO9002 quality certification during 1994 - 1997. In January 1999, OPC went public on TSE (Taiwan Stock Exchange Market). In the near future, we wish to expand to China, expecting to serve more customers in China. At the same, wishing to provide better service and flexibility to customers all around the world.
