As an astute captain, Mark has kept up to date with his international qualifications including Master <3000gt and values delivery and rotational work, new builds and project management.Mark James is a marine engineer by trade, and worked his life on various vessels in the commercial and superyacht industries around the world. Mark has project managed and captained many new builds and major re-fits. His experience in major projects and running various vessels, has led him to become an experienced advisor and consultant to various businesses under the Marine umbrella. From tourism to government, commercial to leisure, Marks experience has brought insight and direction to many a project.Mark is current with his tickets including Master of Yachts up to 3000gt (MCA), Master Class 5 (Australia), Marine Engine Driver Grade 1 (Australia) and is based on the Gold Coast. He has solid seamanship and boat handling skills with trans-Atlantic and trans-Pacific crossings, cruising the Caribbean, Mediterranean, Central and South America, East and West Coast of the USA, Singapore, New Zealand and Australia. Helen James brings the Technical Sales and Marketing skills to the Oceania Marine team, with over 20 years in the Marine Industry. Having a history in competitive sailing, Helen has represented industry leaders Ronstan and Harken specifying yacht fitouts; Southport Yacht Club as Sailing Manager, and Evolution Sailmakers as Sales Rep. With a passion for writing and marketing, Helen feels at ease writing technical advertorials, product brochures or informative articles.Together Mark and Helen of Oceania Marine bring a wide base of solid knowledge and an insatiable passion to any project or product they get onboard with.
